COUNTBLANK Function Definition

Counts the number of non occupied cells (empty cells) in a range of cells.

COUNTBLANK Function Syntax

=COUNTBLANK(range)

range: The range of cells to analyze. Can be a range reference A1:A10 or a name like data.

COUNTBLANK Function Tips

  • Cells with formulas that return "" (empty text) are also counted. Cells with zero values are not counted.
