What is Included in Our Training

  • A CD of either our Excel Aided Business or Excel Aided Engineering manual. These manuals contain over 1600 pages of how to instruction and hundreds of examples.

Repeat Your Workshop for Free

  • EMAGENIT has had this policy since its creation over 12 years ago. EMAGENIT allows you to repeat your public workshop as many times as you want, no date or repeat limit. This offer applies to people who attend the same workshop on-site or via webcast and would like to take it again publicly. EMAGENIT understands learning is an iterative process and our single goal is to have you truly understand and use the material covered in class.

  • If you take a webcast workshop, you can take it again a single time for free. You can then attend any public offering of the same workshop for free as many times as you like.

EMAGENIT Training Categories

EMAGENIT training is divided into two major categories:

  • Engineering and Science

  • Business

Before proceeding make a determination of what category best represents what you or your group do. Each training page is divided into these two main categories via color coding. When looking at a workshop, look at the color of the box containing the workshop picture. If it is a bright blue-green, then the workshop is business related. Light blue is engineering.

EMAGENIT offers the following training options:

  • Public: You or your group travel to Thousand Oaks, California

  • Webcast*: We train you or your group interactively over the web

  • Onsite: EMAGENIT travels to your company

  • Self Study: Buy a manual from us and get 3 months e-mail interaction.

*EMAGENIT can present any of our workshops via Webcast for a specific company.
 

Picking a Type of Microsoft Excel Training (Step #3)

Use the following break down to identify the type of workshop for your needs.

EMAGENIT presents two types of general Microsoft Excel training:

  • General Excel Training*: You or your group learn how to write formulas, construct pivot tables, format worksheets, construct array formulas, filter data...etc general Excel Office skills.

  • Excel VBA Programming*: You or your group learn how to write computer code in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) that automate Microsoft Excel tasks like data processing, automatic chart creation, commanding Microsoft Word and PowerPoint...etc.

*Any workshop with VBA in its title is going to deal with programming. Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced Excel titles deal with general Excel training.
 

Picking a Workshop (Step #4)

Use the following break down to identify the proper workshop for your needs.

General Microsoft Excel Training

  • Beginning Microsoft Excel: Select this workshop if you or your group have:

    • Never opened Microsoft Excel

    • Just typed data in it

    • Have never typed formulas

    • Have never sorted or filtered data

    • View workshop outline

    If you or your group have already typed a basic formula, sorted or filtered data then select the intermediate workshop.

     

  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel: Select this workshop if you or your group want to learn how to:

    • Write sophisticated formulas and array formulas

    • Construct summary worksheets

    • Use worksheet functions like VLookup, SumProduct, SumIF, Match, IF, Index or Sum

    • Process data

    • Build charts

    • Build pivot tables

    • View workshop outline.

     

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel:  Select this workshop if you or your group want to learn how to:

    • To construct dashboards using charts, array formulas (SumProduct, SumIF, Index, CountIF...etc) and drawing shapes

    • Link Excel and Word/PowerPoint

    • Build advanced pivot tables

    • Query databases

    • Import text files

    • Use ActiveX controls

    • View workshop outline

What is a FORTRAN DLL (Engineering)

  • Beginning Excel VBA Programming: If you or your group have never programmed, just used the macro recorder or it has been years since programming, then select this workshop.   • ActiveX Programming: If you want to learn how to protect your Excel VBA code from being viewed or edited, then select this workshop.

  • FORTRAN DLL Programming: If you want to learn how to run FORTRAN code from Excel VBA, then select this workshop

  • Advanced Excel VBA Programming: If you or your group have already used VBA at a basic level and want to go more in depth in the areas of data processing, automated chart construction, dashboard construction, database communication, userform construction and Word and PowerPoint automation then select this workshop.   • Microsoft Excel Dashboards: If you or your group have to create timelines, calendars, performance meters, automated charts...etc from Excel based data or external databases then select this workshop. It uses Excel and VBA in combination to construct the dashboard type displays that are seen in the large enterprise level tools. View business workshop outline
